Quaint restaurant with terrace in the historic half-timbered village of Düssel. A wide range of hot and sweet dishes is offered. Thursday is potato cake day. Tip: In summer the plum cake is unbeatable here! Open from 12 noon to 10 p.m. Table reservations on 02058 7822809

The two-storey half-timbered house in Dorfstraße dates in parts from the 17th, 18th and 19th centuries. The left part of the building is plastered on the ground floor. On the rear side there is a two-storey extension from the late 19th century that is slated. To the right of the main building, at right angles, is another half-timbered extension, which was partially covered with shingles. The facade of this extension was massively renewed in the 19th century, the half-timbering is partially painted on.

The house name "Am Iser" is derived from the iron bars embedded in the floor. The bars used to prevent the pigs running around freely in the village from reaching the cemetery behind the church. Up until 1907 there was an inn on the Iser and a grocery store next door. In 1902 the building was sold to the landlord of Haus Düssel.

Today there is again a much-visited inn in the building: the “Kutscherstuben” restaurant and café.
