The Braunsmühle in Bischofsheim is a single monument. The oldest parts come from the Baroque period, dates point to the year 1720. Over the centuries, the mill has undergone several additions and conversions. The two-storey mill building with its massive ground floor made of local basalt, the slated upper floor and gable, which are also typical for the Rhön, is of great urban significance. The historic mill technology, which can be admired from the guest room, is also a reminder of the past. The small mill museum extends over three floors. A bakery always belonged to the Braunsmühle. In the course of the renovation, among other things, the original half-timbering was preserved, as well as historical paintings as a "window into the past" and parts of the original wooden floor.
