Hiking

The 894m above sea level NN high Hohe Hölle forms a double peak with the neighboring slightly lower Himmeldunkberg. Here is the north-eastern end of the Dammersfeld massif. The refuge "disguised as a bus stop" below the summit is a curiosity that is often ridiculed, including hypothetical cable car timetables :-D

Hiking

The Hohe Hölle is located in the "Hohen Rhön" and is the northeasternmost peak of the Dammersfeldrücken. Within the Rhön Biosphere Reserve and the Bavarian Rhön and Hessian Rhön Nature Parks, it rises on the border of the districts of Rhön-Grabfeld (Bavaria) in the east and Fulda (East Hesse) in the west (Wiki).
