The Hohe Hölle is located in the "Hohen Rhön" and is the northeasternmost peak of the Dammersfeldrücken. Within the Rhön Biosphere Reserve and the Bavarian Rhön and Hessian Rhön Nature Parks, it rises on the border of the districts of Rhön-Grabfeld (Bavaria) in the east and Fulda (East Hesse) in the west (Wiki).
