The Blasewitz Forest Park is a 23-hectare park in Blasewitz. It is one of several forest parks in Dresden (along with those in Kleinzschachwitz, Klotzsche and Weißen Hirsch) and the most famous of them. The forest park was created in Blasewitz, which was later incorporated into Dresden, in 1869, at a time when almost all of the original forest plots were being built over due to the strong demand for land in the villa colonies elsewhere.
