The Adler pharmacy is the oldest half-timbered house in the city and dates from the 17th century. A pharmacy was housed in the house from 1623, which existed until 1986. The half-timbered house with its striking corner entrance and the gilded eagle is an important architectural monument and shows typical elements of the Renaissance. After a comprehensive restoration, the Eberswalde Museum has been located in this building since 1997 with permanent and special exhibitions on the town and regional history, the tourist information and the Eberswalde town’s cultural office.
