View of Kuhsee

The Kuhsee is an artificially created lake in the Hochzoll district of Augsburg. The name Kuhsee came about because urban herds of cows were led to water at the old backwater that was once connected to the Lech. The backwater of the Lech was popularly known as the Kuhsee.

In summer it is a popular place for swimming. But also suitable for hiking around the lake.
