    The Wetzlar Hospital Church of the Holy Spirit is located in the former medieval suburb of Wetzlar directly on the old bridge over the Lahn.
    First mentioned in 1262, the Hospital of the Holy Spirit served as accommodation for pilgrims, beggars and the sick passing through. This developed into a hospital and a retirement home. The hospital building was destroyed during World War II.
