From afar you can see a reconstructed wooden tower on the edge of the forest south of Burgsalach, which stands near the proven sentry 14/48.
So far, only the 4.70 x 4.70 m location of the stone tower has been found and the original plan reconstructed 1 m high in 1971/72. The wooden tower stands as a "model" at a freely chosen location outside the Limes line. There is an information board on site to explain the situation.
The course of the Limes is easy to understand due to the edge of the forest and the parallel paved walkway along which the German Limes Cycle Path and Limes Hiking Trail run. There are traces of evidence from the Limes wall before and after the sentry Wp. 14/48, first as a slope, then approx. 50 m on both sides of the reconstructed stone tower foundation and northeast of the path as a little wall (height 10 - 20 cm, width approx. 4 - 5 m). Only 120 m southeast of the stone tower, a longer rampart on the edge of the forest begins to become visible, approx. 10 - 20 cm high and 3 m wide.

Here you can see the reconstruction of a watchtower on the Limes. The tower is made of wood and unfortunately is currently not accessible. Different watchtowers can be created on the rotating model.
