By the time you arrive at Vittorio-Veneto, the mountains are gone. To your left: the last hills of the Dolomites, to your right: the Prosecco-area (why didn't we know that beforehand?)

We did Sachsenburg-San Candido by train, because 4 years ago, we did this track the other way round, being part of the Drau-Radweg. From Toblach to Cortina d'Ampezzo, you follow a nice, former railway-track.

When the route bends from west to south-east, you are confronted with a separated cyclepath in a 1,5 km tunnel. The traffic is terribly noisy! Put something in your ears, or try the smal path along the river.
