Naturbursche on Tour
Today I had work to do in the area around Waldmünchen and I took the chance right away and looked at the Gibacht circular hiking trail. I had seen the circular hiking trail in a hiking Facebook group and had been on the list for several weeks. Today it worked, even if it wasn't so sunny, so my colleagues packed up and off we went. The result is a great hike with some sights, viewpoints and interesting places to go. The Gibacht, I didn't know that beforehand, is a real border mountain. The mountain forms the border between Bavaria - Bohemia, Germany - Czech Republic, Upper Palatinate - Lower Bavaria, the "Upper Palatinate Forest" - "Bavarian Forest" and the "Bohemian Forest". The approximately 5 km long circular hiking trail runs over the entire mountain range from 845 m to 938 m, the starting point is at the hiking car park of the Gibacht mountain inn. The path offers great views when the weather is nice, and with the slight difference in altitude of around 100 m, it is also quite pleasant to walk on, making it family-friendly and also suitable for children.

The destination for this tour, the Gnadenberg monastery ruins, had been on my list for a long time and now it was all about the when and the route. For the "when" I chose the sunny day of the week and for the tour I just made it easy for myself and oriented myself towards the connoisseurs of this region. The result is a (for me at least) very beautiful and varied mountain bike tour with a good mix of road, dirt road or trail. For the friendly support (I hope I won't forget anyone here). Thanks to Steff 🚵💥, Carmen Frank, Söhni 🏃, Andrea 🐕🐩🚶🏼♀️, rosch, MaDDin, Goetz, 🌳Tom🌲, Alexandra, Magic Harry, 〽️Markus ".

Today we went to the "Hölle" nature reserve between Postfelden and Dosmühle. I've seen it several times at Komoot and since I was traveling here for work, the Hell Trail was of course a good option. The Höllbachtal is wild and romantic at the same time, you make your way over hill and dale through the rocky forest gorge, always accompanied by the roar of the Höllbach. Among other things, the circular route 149 leads through the Höllbachtal. The course of the Höllbach is definitely worth seeing, but you should pay attention to sturdy shoes and surefootedness is also required. Unfortunately, the parking lot for hikers is not particularly large and very quickly overcrowded in good weather. But maybe that's a good thing, otherwise it's like at Stachus.

This time I went to the area around Neumarkt, here I looked at the Wolfstein castle ruins, the Lesesteinhaus and of course a few trails as goals. Thank you "Da Steff" for your help in preparing the tour. With the best cycling weather, we first went past the crow table, to the Wolfstein castle ruins and I can recommend this well-preserved piece of history to everyone. Take a look at the castle, preferably on Sunday because then the tower may even be open. A great, freely accessible facility and a wonderful view over Neumarkt. Then we continued through the beautiful Lengenbachtal to the Lesesteinhaus. The reading stone house is practically a holiday work by young people together with various working groups and associations, I don't think there is a second time. Great Gschicht and again a great view. Via the "Diavolo Snake Trail" (not for beginners and you shouldn't be afraid either) it went to Mariahilfberg and through the Teufelsschlucht back to the starting point, the mountain inn Sammüller in Schafhof. The inn is ideal as a start and end point, so you can replenish your reserves right away. Great day in a great area, nice tour through the Neumarkt area and that calls for a reunion.
