At the entrance to the Münstertal, a porphyry rock with a viewing pulpit protrudes into the Upper Rhine plain above the former cutlery of Staufen. A light oak forest grows in the vicinity of the rock, in which the white forest birds bloom. A small hiking trail that starts below the rock by the swimming pool leads up to the ridge with the rock.
