The treasure from Eberswalde is a gold treasure weighing 2.59 kg. It was discovered in 1913 during excavation work on the site of the Messingwerksiedlung, a then independent municipality near the municipality of Heegermühle. On May 16, 1913, while working on the construction of a house on today's Gustav-Hirsch-Platz, a worker came across a clay pot with a lid with a spade at a depth of about 1 m. It broke and shiny gold objects appeared. The treasure is now stored as looted art in a secret depot in Moscow's Pushkin Museum.

In 2005, a stele with replicas of the finds was erected at the site where it was found on today's Gustav-Hirsch-Platz. The replicas come from the Eberswalde metal sculptor Eckhard Herrmann.
