At the southeastern end, the path becomes very muddy for a short stretch. Appropriate footwear is an advantage. A little later it gets better again and after a small overpass we turn right into the forest and walk along the lake some distance from the shore. Over time, the path narrows and becomes an uphill and downward trail. You get relatively close to the highway.
