The path to the Fronhof is on the Kölner Weg. The farm was first mentioned in 904 and is thus the first written record of the settlement of Himmelgeist. It was left to the monastery in Kaiserswerth. Court courts were held here in the Middle Ages. In 1835, Ludwig Duke of Arenberg acquired the farm together with Mickeln Castle and leased it out. The last tenant was the Rademacher family. They managed the farm until 2004. Then it stood empty for ten years. After refurbishment and extensive conversion work, which not everyone liked, 26 families now live in the courtyard.
