Von Röfleuten aus geht es über Forstwege und durch Wälder hinauf bis zur Kappeler Alp.
Wem der letzte steile Anstieg dorthin zuviel ist, geht das letzte Stück direkt östlich, Richtung "Hündleskopf" und dort - den Schilder nach - zur gleichnamigen Hütte, diese liegt ca. 150-200 Höhenmeter tiefer.
