Bike Touring Highlight
The Elbroich Castle is one of the relatively unknown monuments of Düsseldorf, but definitely deserves a detour. In addition to the beautiful old historical building, the park around it is a real feast for the eyes (especially in spring) with many old large trees and other plants.

The origins of Elbroich Castle can no longer be researched, as the Elbroich Archive was almost completely destroyed by the effects of the Second World War. Around 1189, the Lords of Teveren sold the town of Düsseldorf and some goods to the Counts of Berg, including the Allod Elbroich. In the 15th century the property came to the Lords of Eller.

The park is really beautiful and well worth a visit. Very little can be seen from the castle itself. Partially very overgrown.
