(Old) bishop's castle in Wittstock/ Dosse - construction started in 1244, residence of the bishops of Havelberg between 1271 and 1548 as part of the imposing city wall complex, which still today almost completely encloses Wittstock. The office tower and mayor's house have been preserved.

Today the Bishop's Castle houses the Museum of the Thirty Years' War and the Ostprignitz Museum, which deals with the history of the city.
