Below the Mackenröder Trail runs a (unridable) hiking trail that is partially hard to see and includes climbing sections. Someone called this section the Grand Canyon. From the curious course of the route you can guess the overgrown path that is difficult to recognize.

Amazingly creepy on its own, suitable as a film backdrop for all sorts of shockers and thrillers 😆. A longer tour was planned, but my full bottle ran out completely and my tongue was already sticking to the palate from sheer thirst.🤔. Well, it was still worth it. The area is already strong, you can plan again.

Very nice impressions of Rusteberg and the surrounding area. Makes you want to stay in the area a little longer.

Unfortunately, this large stunning lake in the middle of the forest is NOT open to the public. 😥. And entering is strictly forbidden, a high fence with several warning signs protects this area. However, a nice person let us on the private property for a short time. Was probably more luck.

Endless trail on the Nieme, probably not suitable for high-speed downhillers, but absolutely brilliant in terms of nature. You have to see it once.

There are some breathtaking trails between Nienhagen and Hardegsen, I think this area is also called the Weperkamm. However, we decided to treat ourselves to these paths in another tour and chose a simple edge area. But from the photos you can already guess what to expect. Especially the old quarry above…
