    The "Café Lehmann"
In the beginning there was Old Fritz. At his behest, Friedrichshagen was founded in 1753 as a settlement for colonists. During this time, a colonist's house was built here, which burned down in 1886 and was rebuilt in 1887, essentially in its current form.

The side building with adjoining cowshed, built on the old foundation walls in 1882, has been modified several times over the years of its function. Back in 1902, master baker Josef Dzikowski built a bakery with a coal oven. This oven was in service until 1998.

In 1999, after it had been vacant, the Lehmann family acquired the residential and commercial complex from the descendants of the bakery founder, which was now in serious need of renovation and was part of the Bölschestraße listed building. dr Karl-Friedrich Lehmann, who also comes from a family of bakers and is also a master baker and confectioner, fulfilled a childhood dream. From 1999 to 2002 it was repaired and modernized.
An inserted part of the building made of reinforced concrete and special glass now connects the different levels of the front building and side building and opens up the courtyard. In 2003, more than 100 years after the first cake was baked here, the "Café Lehmann" and the in-house pastry shop opened.

In the meantime, the "Café Lehmann" is being continued in the second generation by the daughter, Britt Manthey. Since then, we have tried every day to spoil our guests with our finest confectionery and bakery specialties. Also this year, 2022, the interiors of the sales room and the café were renovated and modernized.

We wish our guests a pleasant stay.

Unfortunately, Cafe Lehmann had to close. Now Café Hörnchen has moved in. We liked it.

Nothing to add to @Nancy's comment 🙂.
