This camp was a satellite camp of the Neuengamme concentration camp near Hamburg and only housed women. It was located between the Conti company premises and the village of Limmer.

There is a brochure holder at the information board, which is always stocked with current information material. You won't find that anywhere else in the seven former Hanover locations where small concentration camps existed at the end of the last world war. The working group KZ Limmer is planning a memorial on the site of the newly emerging water town of Limmer. The preparations have come a long way. One can only hope that this commendable project can soon be realized.
