The municipality of Stettfeld is located in the Main valley between Bamberg and Hassfurt. It is the oldest place in the area and has some buildings worth seeing as well as a small local history museum. Stettfeld was first mentioned in a document in 778, making it one of the oldest communities in the district. Dominating the picturesque village square are the town hall built around 1600 with a half-timbered upper storey, the late Baroque parish church of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary and the historic Bärenbrunnen fountain. In the hallway is the Anna Chapel, which is well worth seeing.
