The Haus Wenge park has belonged to the city of Dortmund since 1952. Between 1962 and 1966, she had the park thoroughly restored and thus saved it from decay. The creation of the public park with the partially restored moats included the only surviving Gothic-style noble house in the area of the old village and the large settlement "Neu-Lanstrop". The foundation walls and parts of the enclosure probably date back to the 13th century.
