The artist fixed the shells of mussels on a wooden panel with a diameter of 150 cm. The moon's sunlit side is represented by the light and pearlescent interior of the clam shells, the shadow of the earth by their blue-black exterior. The moon, hovering high between trees, enchants its surroundings.
