The beautiful and shady rest area under the Centbuche is located directly on the premium hiking trail 17, from which only a few 100m away, on the Mauseberg, the Pinonierturm lures with a good view.
Here, an approximately 300-year-old tree impressively marked the boundary between Bischhausen and Waldkappel. In the 1980s, however, it had to be felled because the trunk was ailing. A new and meanwhile also large beech tree stands on this inviting rest area.

Hiking

Now a new beech is growing in the same place. Only a few hundred meters further, the next striking point awaits, the pioneer tower.
