The Rochusfriedhof is a church cemetery in the Gostenhof district of Nuremberg with historical and artistically valuable bronze epitaphs as well as horizontal (standardized) tombstones and burial places of cultural and historical significance of the Nuremberg population from more than five centuries. The burial site is still in use and is a listed building. The city of Nuremberg and the Evangelical Lutheran Cemetery Administration are responsible for the burials. The Rochus chapel in the cemetery comes from Hans Beheim the Elder.

An oasis in the middle of the big city. Just a few steps away from the lively Nuremberg Plärrer, the historic Rochus Cemetery awaits visitors who are looking for peace and who are interested in art. Peter Vischer the Elder and the baroque composer and organist of the Sebalduskirche, Johann Pachelbel, found their last resting place here. The Rochus chapel, designed by Hans Behaim the Elder, is an art-historical treasure trove from the late Gothic and Renaissance periods.

A well-known patrician in medieval Nuremberg had a burial place built for the family. And so, in 1521, the burial chapel of the patrician Imhoff family in the Rochus cemetery was consecrated to the patron saint of plague sufferers, St. Rochus. Inside there are glass windows based on designs by Albrecht Dürer from the workshop of Veit Hirsvogel, a high altar by Hans Traut, two artistically crafted side altars as well as panel paintings and epitaphs.
