The Murazzi (ij Murass in the Piedmontese language) are the landings, arches and sheds for boats located on the west bank of the Po, near the historic center of Turin. The origin of the name is connected to the imposing embankments (walls) built during the 19th century to preserve the city from the floods of the river.
