In fact, it is the main bridge of the city, because it connects an important part of the historic center (Piazza Vittorio Veneto) with the small square Gran Madre di Dio, on the right bank of the Po (formerly the Borgo Po district [1]).
Often, it is simply called by the people of Turin the Gran Madre bridge, the Piazza Vittorio bridge or the Murazzi bridge.
