The size and shape of the Galgenbergsee will be relocated in order to create sufficient space for connecting the district with cycle paths and access roads to Hochkirchen. In addition, additional areas will be gained in the north-east of the new residential quarter, and active noise protection for the future residential development will be made possible against the A4 motorway running north.
In addition, the redesign associated with the relocation offers considerable potential for the ecological upgrading of the lake as part of the natural area planned in the north of the planning area.
