On a cycle tour along the so-called "outer green belt", where the Prussian fortifications were once supposed to protect the city, a relaxing blue color always mixes with the green of meadows, bushes and trees: at this point it is the "Kalscheurer Weiher", so named after the town of Kalscheuren, which, in terms of local politics, is by no means part of Cologne, but rather part of the city of Hürth (in the Rhein-Erft district).
