The submontane view of the dune is fascinating and the climb is exausting to some extend. But it's awesome and definitely worth it, too.

It's best to come in the morning or afternoon. Both because of the great shadow play and because of the temperature :-) If it's too crowded, you can also go to Dune 40, which is a bit closer to the entrance.
