The 1972 Olympic harbor is the center of the annual Kiel Week sailing competitions and numerous world and European championships. In the harbor you will find many amenities of a modern leisure facility. The charming hinterland is ideal for hiking and cycling tours. The Förde ferry line between Laboe, Strande and Kiel also docks in Schilksee in summer and thus creates a good connection to Kiel city center.
