This alley is reminiscent of old Worms and leads to the synagogue, part of the ShUM World Heritage Sites.

It was the city's Jewish ghetto from the late Middle Ages until the end of the 18th century. The alley lies on the northern edge of the medieval city center and uses the inner city wall as a back wall for the houses. It was separated from the rest of the city at both ends by gates, the so-called Judenpforte and the Raschitor.
