Molenheide is a bungalow park but also a wildlife and hiking park. Both are separate. This is about the wildlife and hiking park where a major metamorphosis is underway and the inland dunes are being exposed in a broader context of nature restoration. There are new hiking trails that give you a taste of the inland dunes. More information and developments at wildenwandelparkmolenheide.be

Hiking

Since June 2025, Molenheide has been known as Duinenpark. The municipality of Houthalen-Helchteren has renovated the domain: the forest canteen with playground and wild boars has been completely redesigned. Many of JP's photos therefore correspond more closely to the renovated situation. Also, some paths that are on Komoot are no longer accessible. It remains pleasant to walk between the trees and dunes and the playground has also been enlarged and transformed into a natural playground!
