Former town hall, now library. The town hall is located on the south side of the Dries. Until 1878, the land on this side, between Veldstraat and Drietorenstraat, also belonged to the Dries. They were parceled out by the municipality to build, among other things, the municipal boys' school.

In addition to the year 1907, a foundation stone in the hallway mentions the names of the mayor and aldermen, the contractor E. Meltens and the builder Cl. Sterck. The town hall was festively inaugurated on June 6, 1909. It remained in use until the end of 1964, when the merger with nearby Buggenhout was realized.
