This cross marked by the Venn weather is located approximately at the intersection of the old path that led from Montjoie via Mützenich and Roetgen to Aix and near the old path from Konzen (Entenpfuhl) to Schwertzfeld via the Brachkopf.

Hiking

The cross was erected in 1896 and replaces an old cross that was already mentioned in old maps at this location. Since there are no known written records about its origin and meaning, it was called the "Cross of the Way of Aix". The current cross has a plaque with the following inscription:

Aachen Cross
(Croix du Sentier d´Aix)
on the old Aachen-Monschau path
1896 and 1956
Rebuilt by the Eifelverein Konzen 2001.
