The center of the market square is adorned by the Market Fountain, built in 1521 in the Renaissance style. At that time, the water was supplied by the oldest wooden aqueduct, built by the Carmelite monks. The Market Fountain figure in the center of the fountain is considered a symbol of the staunch citizen.
