In the shade of a canopy of green and gold speckled leaves, rocks, wild garlic and stag's tongue fern enchant the rugged terrain below the Kohlwinkel into a mystical garden. Lonely and little noticed, the hiking tourists stream along the eaves, while the actual idyll is below.
Narrow wild garlic paths wind their way over bizarre roots, down a restless climb to the Emmafelsen. A rough block that untold years ago broke away from the eaves in order to set up its own "court state" here.
