High-altitude rest area (approx. 850 meters) on the Dreifürstenstein mountain with shelter and information board. The Albsteig leads directly past and the inclined hiker can enjoy a break with a wonderful view. According to legend, the three ruling princes of Hohenzollern - Hechingen, Württemberg and Fürstenberg - met here earlier on the mountain. They wanted to take part in the social gatherings, each for themselves, but only on their territory, which is why, as history tells, a large stone table was built in the distant past - which many today, however, are looking for in vain. Now the three princes, each in their own area, could take a seat and enjoy hearty food and drink. Fortunately, this narrow-mindedness no longer exists today, and hikers from all over the world take a break here.

Again and again I come on my hiking tours on Dreifürstenstein over and enjoy the beautiful nature of this mountain spur. The hut is sheltered even in bad weather and in good weather you can enjoy the Bänkle in the sun (if not busy) and then may hike towards Bergrutsch, Kornbühl, Schildfelsen or the steep descent into the valley to the juniper heaths. Everywhere it is very nice.

Very nice view and in good weather also great views. Nice for all non-locals is the round signpost table with information, which places you can see at what distance.
Directly at the Dreifürstenstein there is a hiking hut and a barbecue area. In good weather, the viewpoint is very well visited.

We have not only the Dreifuerstenstein in Mössingen, but also the Farrenberg with a view (beautiful gliding area) and the Filsenberg with a wonderful view (Teufelsloch) towards Talheim and the main town, partly also the Black Forest. Refuge on the plain. The Filsenbergfest every August. This year the festival is canceled due to Corona. Monika
