High rest area (about 850 meters) on the Dreifürstenstein mountain with a shelter and information board. The Albsteig leads right past and the willing hiker can enjoy a break here with a wonderful view. According to legend, the three reigning princes of Hohenzollern - Hechingen, Württemberg and Fürstenberg - met here, on top of the mountain. Each of them wanted to take part in the social gatherings, but only on their own territory, which is why, as the story goes, a large stone table was set up in the distant past - which many people today look for in vain. The three princes, each in his own area, could now take a seat here and enjoy hearty food and drink. Fortunately, this narrow-mindedness no longer exists and hikers from all over stop here together.

Again and again beautiful, the view from Dreifürstenstein on the Zoller and on the "flat" land in the west, where with a little luck you still recognize the Hornisgrinde and in the south even the Feldberg

Again and again I come on my hiking tours on Dreifürstenstein over and enjoy the beautiful nature of this mountain spur. The hut is sheltered even in bad weather and in good weather you can enjoy the Bänkle in the sun (if not busy) and then may hike towards Bergrutsch, Kornbühl, Schildfelsen or the steep descent into the valley to the juniper heaths. Everywhere it is very nice.
