The Schlackenwegle is the shortest route from the Platte (Großglattbach) into the Enztal to Lomersheim. For the people here, this was an extremely helpful, tried-and-tested route on foot! The Schlackenwegle has largely straight lines and runs as a nature path with a pleasant profile. In the best sense
    *"a premium path".
The name “Schlackenwegle” came about in the context of industrialization in the Enztal.
With the weaving of the Wendler brothers (coming from Reutlingen) at the beginning of the last century, many found jobs here in the valley and used this route. To maintain this path, slags that were created during the manufacturing process at Wendler were used. Over the years, this path connection has repeatedly been impaired or attempted to be removed through reforestation.
*The connecting path to the “Mühlackerweg” via Großglattbach to the Platte also led along this path for many years. In 2012, a new route via the Köpflehütte, avoiding the entire length of the Schlackenwegle, was signposted.
In the years that followed, the Wegle was "in the way of the forest"; obstacles (including branches) were repeatedly attempted to make the Wegle impassable.
Facts were created through reforestation, the lower part, which had grown historically, became "impassable".
This will probably continue to be the case. But pleasing:
    * A parallel path leads in this lower section - even a little shorter, was paved earlier, helpful for well over 100 years and used as a transport path, "new German: forest management path", e.g. also with horse-drawn carriages.
This path has now been reduced to a narrow hiking trail and has become overgrown; instead it is used for mountain biking*?, horseback riding*? and hiking! (Hikers and “non-hikers” enjoy respectful, tolerant encounters)
actively used. It is an alternative route that is therefore maintained for the purpose of walking.

The slag trail is a historical connection between the Enztal and Großglattbach

Beautiful, narrow path that is often used by bikers
