A vertical old and a new railway sleeper make up the basic structure of the Jöhlinger memorial stone. With this material, the creators of the stone want to point out the involvement of the Reichsbahn in the deportation. The old threshold has the task of reminding - the new threshold has the task of warning against the repetition of totalitarianism and racism. Five red iron bars with the names of the five deported Jöhlinger Jews on them connect the two railway sleepers.
