This was mostly following the "Saumweg". Not a lot of altitude here (barely over 300m over sea level), but you can tell how you're slowly, gradually entering the Black Forest. Almost all of the trail was easy except for one little segment just south of Waldprechtsweier, which could have easily been bypassed

This was a combination of a rather picturesque mountain hike with a much less exciting walk through town (targeting a restaurant).
The Starzlachklamm (the mountain gorge we descended through) is open in the warmer half of the year and has a 5€ entry fee (despite the sign saying 4€). Part of it was somewhat

A little walk in one of the nicer Boston suburbs. Sadly I had my phone in energy saving mode some of the time, so the GPX trail has some jitters.

This is like a Wolf valley in miniature. It is not the most "touristically optimized" place, however, and much of my hike was along driveways, although they weren't busy at all. Elane (the goth band) has been hyping the Sauerland, so once I had a reason to visit Westphalia, I decided to check out :)
This is not the Black Forest; if there are really wild places around here, I have yet to find them. Most of the towns are a combination of modernity and tradition, which can be interesting
