In the center of Monzingen is the evangelical parish church of St. Martin. The history of the three-nave basilica with the partially Romanesque aisle begins in the 10th century, when Archbishop Willigis of Mainz had a chapel built. This chapel was remodeled and enlarged in the Gothic style from the 13th to the 15th centuries. The north tower dates back to the 13th century. The evangelical church in Monzingen is one of the most important architectural monuments along the Nahe.
