The Deister is a mountain range in the Calenberg Uplands.
It stretches approximately 23 km from Wennigsen via Barsinghausen to Bad Nenndorf.

Anyone who wants to cycle in the Deister should consider three things to have fun on the trails and the mountain:
- Consideration for hikers and other cyclists
- Consideration for nature and animals
- I take my trash back with me
Whoever heeds this, it is best to take a train (bahn.de) and travel e.g. every 30min. from Hannover to Barsinghausen (travel time approx. 34min.).
Shopping facilities are available directly at the train station (Kaufland) or in the pedestrian zone.
