Hiking

The famous Essche Bierpump is located on the market square of Esch. On the beer pump is an enlarged copy of the statue of the Roman god Bacchus. The Essche Beer Pump Festival takes place every year on Ascension Day. The new residents of Esch are especially invited to this party. All kinds of activities take place in the center and live music is played.

Hiking

For those from outside Esch, it's a surprise: the beer pump on the market square. This unique pump has been there since 1966, and once a year, it's not water, but beer that flows here. Apparently, that was already the idea when the pump was built, given the inscription that leaves little to the imagination: "Sometimes, instead of water, they only serve beer here," and the Bacchus statue on it.
