Nicely laid out bypass along the Dommel and the hydroelectric power station to offer fish a safe detour. In 2006 a fish passage with a length of 960 m was opened. This bridges a height difference of 1.8 meters. The river lamprey, roadside and chub can now swim upstream again, while the bitterling, which lives in standing water, also benefits from this.
