To the north of Witzeeze you can find these three small bunkers, which are somewhat hidden at the edge of the forest. The middle one is open and you can see inside. But it is only very small and you couldn't store a lot of material there. Quite a lot of effort for so little storage space. What had been planned here back then to stop the "evil enemy" ...... it would probably have been of no use.
Anyway, nowadays such bunkers are fortunately completely superfluous, but still very interesting contemporary witnesses.

There are 3 bunkers of the Bundeswehr from the time of the "Cold War".
A relic from the Cold War is hidden under three inconspicuous hills at the entrance to the forest: Former depot bunkers for explosives of all kinds, with which pioneers of the Bundeswehr would have blown up roads and bridges in the event of war to prevent the enemy from moving forward.
Separately stored in the bunkers were: explosives, detonators, and means of ignition impulse transmission (cables, plugs, etc.).
The bunkers have now been emptied, but a few curious figures insisted on trying to get started. If you had informed yourself beforehand, you would know that this is almost impossible with normal tools.
