The St. Lambertus Church, situated on a slight elevation at the corner of Richard Caluwaertsstraat and Desiré Van Hoomissenstraat, is a classicist hall church dating from 1778-1779 with an integrated late-Gothic west tower, surrounded by a walled churchyard.

Eikevliet had its own chapel, which was destroyed during the religious disputes in the 16th century and later rebuilt. The tithe of the chapel was vested in Affligem Abbey, which also took care of the construction of the current church. It was built in 1778-1779 on the site of the chapel, of which the late Gothic tower has been preserved. It was not until 1842 that Eikevliet became a parish, which, however, remained dependent on that of Puurs.
