We saddle up at be-MINE at the former Beringen mine. Where once miners extracted coal from the ground for decades, a veritable nature reserve has now been created with hills and bushes. The old slag heaps offer impressive viewpoints with wide views.

For children, the Adventure Mountain is on the other heap of be-MINE, where children reach the top via giant stairs, a ropes course, climbing structures and crawling tunnels. If you want to know more about the arduous work in the Limburg mines, you can visit the Mining Museum.
