Geology:
The Brömster sand dune (inland dune) was formed at the end of the Weichselian ice age in the cold tundra climate by sand drifts from Pleistocene shifting sand.
Flora:
The Brömster dune can be divided into different vegetation units:
1. Mixed pine forest
2. Juniper heath
3. Wedge Grass Steppe Lawn
4. loose silver grass dry lawn
5. xerothermic cindergrass dry turf
