One of the wooden sculptures on the circular path in the Tiergarten near Königs Wusterhausen.

At almost 4 meters, the sculpture of the arrogantly looking down soldier king is one of the most impressive wood carvings on the circular hiking trail. It was the last sculpture to be erected in 2021 and initially completes the sculpture path aka Tiergarten circular path. The zoo was created in 1725 by order of the soldier king Friedrich Wilhelm I pictured here. At that time, all farmers in the area had to stop working in the fields in order to carry out the work for this project.

Nice that next to each wooden sculpture there is a description of the historical background. It is worth taking the time to read through.
